Items your puppy needs

Important- Do not take the puppy anywhere for at least a week other than the vet’s office. Let the puppy settle into his new home. Do not cause undue stress during transitioning. This includes over stimulation by children or other dogs. Puppy will visit the vet 1st week before leave home. Let the puppy settle in and rest!

Your puppy food:

Diamond Naturals Small Breed Puppy Formula Dry Dog Food

Feeding your puppy ¼ cup 3 times a day

Divide the daily amount shown in the table by the number of meals. Check this list each month to increase the amount of food by weight of the pet.

Snacks- soft snacks, grain free are preferable. Hard cookies can cause choking until they get older.

You can find everything your puppy needs on www.chewy.com  and also made an Amazon Storefront with what I recommend.

Water Bottle- Your puppy has never drank from a bowl. I strongly suggest you never start this bad habit. Water will sit on puppies face cause staining and infection. Purchase a dog water bottle from local pet store or online.

Bowls- Any type of Stainless steel bowl. You can purchase a shallow cat bowl from the local pet store that will work perfect. It has rubber on the bottom and is shallow for your new flat faced baby.

Outdoor play / potty area- Iris pens are great and can be purchased online through Walmart, Ebay, Amazon or Chewy for approximately $35.00

A confined area keeps puppy focused and potty training easier.

Pin Brush- no ball on the end: http://www.laineeltd.com

Slicker Brush- is vital to owning a Shih Tzu long hair or short. Purchased on Amazon or Ebay.

Pink Millers Forge Cat Slicker

Wee-Wee Pads or Washable pads

How to change your puppy food- Begin the transition by mixing both the current food with her new dog food together. Gradually decrease the amount of the current dog food while increasing the amount of new dog food. Continue to do this over a 7-day period.
